People with ADHD over a few years had approached me and asked how long I'd known about my ADHD for - they saw in me the same characteristics as they shared.

  • My 8yr old son has been on vyvanse for two years. He went from making straight F's to honor roll.
  • My two boys both have ADHD. My 16 year old has ADD, along with some depression. We are struggling with him, as he is in high school, and does not really care about anything. He does not do homework, always has late work, work not turned in, and even a quiz that was never opened on his computer, to take. He has been on Concerta for years, and we recently switched to Vyvance for him. He is on a low dose, and doctor is going to increase it. We can not seem to get him motivated. Anyone have any suggestions?

    I hope this is helpful!
  • Im 33 yrs old and was diagnosed with ADHD in my early years of elementary school. Wasnt medicated til the 3rd grade. Ive spent a great deal of time going to therapy and taking pills. Im tired of all of this. Its nothing but a curse. I lose one job after another, constantly in fights with my wife because she doesny believe that ADHD is real nor does she understand. Shes constantly nagging cause i have a hard time keeping my house picked up, dishes and laundry done and put away, juggle caring for out 4 children and trying to maintain a good relationship with her. Nothing I enough or good enough for her. Im tired. Im ready to give up. Ive become nothing more than a disappointment to my wife
  • My son is 18 and should be graduating high school this year but refused to go do we started cyber school at home. St the beginning he would work on classes but slowly stopped doing the work. He is on concerta and Paxil. He refuses to go speak to a counselor so I had to cancel the appointment. He has no motivation to finish school he only needs 4 1/2 credits to graduate. Any suggestions would be great
  • @Ricky There is a book titled, You Mean I’m Not Lazy, Stupid, or Crazy. I was diagnosed later and this is one of the books I read. Have a highlighter, sticky notes, and a pen. You will highlight so many things you relate to, write in the margins with arrows pointing to parts and THIS written next to it, and you will need sticky notes with names written on them to mark where you want your wife or others to read. It’s SOOO frustrating when people aren’t in our brains!
